Sedgewick Sells Stage Naming Rights

The Town of Sedgewick has signed their second naming rights sponsorship deal in a matter of weeks, the most recent is with Wes Campbell, owner of Campbell-McLennan Chrysler who has stepped forward as a sponsor for the Town’s new portable stage.  The “Campbell-McLennan Chrysler Stage”, a 32’ by 28’ professional staging system, was only recently purchased by the town and will make its debut on July 15th when the community hosts Trooper at the Wild Rose Co-op Recreation Centre.  Campbell-McLennan Chrysler is the only automobile dealership located within Flagstaff County.

The agreement is for a term of five years and aside from stage naming rights, also provides the dealership with signage on the exterior of the arena.  “It’s terrific to have another business see how a partnership such as this is mutually beneficial,” said Sedgewick’s Chief Administrative Officer Jim Fedyk.  “It provides even more legitimacy to what we are trying to accomplish here with another important regional partner supporting the vision.  You can feel that things are really starting to happen in this community that are quite exciting and it couldn’t be done without these types of partnerships.”

It was only eight weeks ago that the Town had entered into a 15 year agreement with Wild Rose Co-op for the naming rights to the Recreation Centre.

Campbell-McLennan Chrysler is located at the junction of Highway 13 and Highway 36, only minutes from downtown Sedgewick and has been supporting the area for more than 20 years.  The dealership carries a full line of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles and prides itself on their customer service and long lasting business relationships.  “We’re pleased to show our support for progressive ideas in our region, and this partnership is a prime example,” said Campbell-McLennan Chrysler owner Wes Campbell.  “We’re excited to see where this goes and proud to be associated.”

The five-foot high professional-grade stage can be assembled/dis-assembled for concerts or other events and is a requirement of the calibre of band that Sedgewick is aiming to attract to the community.  Canada’s legendary rock band Trooper takes to Campbell-McLennan Chrysler Stage on July 15th with the supporting act Sweet Tequila scheduled to warm the crowd up at 8pm.  An after-party has also been announced and will take place at The Leaf, which will be opening soon at the south end of Main Street.
