Council discussed the following issues at their regular Council meeting held on July 12th, 2018.
Residential Subdivision Utility Installation
Council assigned $150,000 in the 2019 capital budget for the installation of underground power and gas services in front of the Phase I Residential Subdivision lots. This amount was based on a conservative estimate provided by Associated Engineering.
Sanitary Sewer Analysis
Council reviewed and accepted as information a Sanitary Sewer Analysis report that outlined future capacity of the current sewer framework.
Sanitary Sewer CCTV Inspection
Council reviewed and accepted a report regarding the Sanitary Sewer CCTV inspection that was undertaken this spring. The report identified priority lines requiring repair.
National Drowning Prevention Week Proclamation
Council proclaimed Jul 15–21, 2018 NATIONAL DROWNING PREVENTION WEEK and commended its thoughtful recognition to all citizens of the Town of Sedgewick.
Flagstaff Regional SDAB & Intermunicipal ARB Board Appointment
Council endorsed the appointment of Diane Gordon to the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision & Development Appeal Board and the Intermunicipal Assessment Review Board for three-year terms expiring in June 2021.
COW Bus Funding
Council approved a $500 donation to the Flagstaff Beaver Early Childhood Coalition to fund the COW (Classroom on Wheels) scheduled bus attendance in Hardisty, Sedgewick and Daysland on October 3rd and 4th.
